Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering Postdoctoral Research Scholar Location: Polytechnic Campus

The Jiang Group at Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University (ASU) and The Polytechnic School seek applicants for Postdoctoral Research Scholar position(s) in the area of advanced material discovery, purification, and crystallization. The projects on future medicine and energy from scalable precise processing (https://search.asu.edu/profile/5491968) provide opportunities for academia and industrial collaborations, as well as for contributing to proposal development. Appointments will be made commensurate with the candidate?s experience and accomplishments, beginning Spring 2026.

Essential Functions (as a reference for internal usage: please see the Required Essential Functions google sheet which has more information)

·         Research and development of automated flow chemistry or crystallization systems

·         Performing multi-disciplinary work including synthesis, purification, and associated analytics and modeling.

·         Co-mentoring undergraduate or graduate students.

  Required qualifications

·         Earn Doctorate degree in Chemistry, Biological or Chemical or Material or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline by the time of appointment.

Desired qualifications

·         Demonstrated experience in device design, flow automation, or modeling, or inorganic or macromolecular crystallography

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
