Location: Remote with frequent travel to Los Angeles, CA
Duration: 6 month contract
Compensation:ย $55.00 - $70.00/hr

Role Summary
Title:ย Communication and Readiness Content Developer
  • Responsible for working with the program team and project teams to handle and coordinate cross-functional efforts and ensure the timely development of content for communications, engagement, and readiness activities supporting the New gTLD Program.
  • Work collaboratively via the Change Adoption Team to engage Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), gather information, and draft project-specific content in a cohesive voice that reaches a range of audiences, from those well-versed in the program to those with no prior knowledge of the program, the client,ย or the gTLD industry.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
  • Distill complex topics, technical processes, and other source materials into high-quality content and messaging that engages and resonates with various audiences, increases the end user''s knowledge and ability, and aligns with the client''s voice and style. Content includes, but is not limited to, raw communications, program website content and management, process training materials, system user and navigation guides, presentations and talking points, and other related materials in support of the program.
  • Work in close coordination with the Change Adoption Team to engage cross-functional program Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and collaboratively curate and create various content based on existing client resources to support communications and training for the client''s employees, applicants, vendors, and the client''s community.
  • Create charts, diagrams, and visual aids to supplement technical content and incorporate them into training materials, presentations, and resource documents to improve understanding of technical processes, complex concepts, and policy content.
  • Incorporate feedback from internal teams and SMEs to validate content.
  • Recommend updates, as directed, to published materials to ensure accessibility and readability for target audiences.
  • Translate technical concepts into clear, easy-to-understand content that can be adapted for multiple languages.
  • Create project-specific raw content for inclusion in social media messaging to reach target audiences.
  • Suggest, design, create, and write additional content as needed.
  • Manage content creation and delivery schedules, considering SME availability and internal review processes.
  • Work with client''s communications team to follow content review, editing, and publishing timelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor''s degree required; master''s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a master''s degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Prior experience working for an international organization is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience contributing to large, cross-functional programs, ideally within policy driven, technical, or multistakeholder environments.
  • Skilled in creating stakeholder-facing materials that translate complex technical or policy details into accessible, actionable content.
  • Experience working across global time zones with culturally diverse, distributed teams to deliver successful program outcomes.
  • Familiarity with client processes, Internet governance, or global digital inclusion initiatives is an asset.
  • Preference for candidates with multilingual abilities, in addition to strong written and spoken English proficiency.
Language
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
