Job description

Position: CRED NYC Job Developer, SkillSpring
Location: Multiple Sites in Manhattan & the Bronx
Salary Range: $65,000 to $ 70,000  per annum
Reports to: CRED NYC Program Director, SkillSpring

About SkillSpring:

SkillSpring, a workforce development program of The New Jewish Home, has supported New York City youth and young adults from under-resourced schools and communities in pursuing careers in health care since 2006. By training the next generation of high-quality, culturally competent health care professionals, SkillSpring generates excitement and enthusiasm for careers serving older adults.
Position Overview:

The New Jewish Home’s SkillSpring program seeks a dynamic, mission-driven Job Developer to lead employment, internship, and career placement efforts for participants in the Community Resources for Employment and Development Program (“CRED NYC”) Program. Reporting to the CRED NYC Director, the Job Developer will connect Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) participants to high-quality, paid work experiences with partner employers and support job readiness, placement, and long-term retention. This full-time role will require close collaboration with case managers, training instructors, employer partners, and workforce systems to ensure successful participant outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with employer partners in the long-term care and healthcare sectors to expand CNA internship and employment opportunities.
• Conduct one-on-one job readiness sessions with participants to assess interests, develop employment goals, and create individualized job search plans.
• Match participants with clinical rotations, internships, and jobs aligned with their training, career goals, and geographic preferences.
• Facilitate workforce readiness workshops focused on interviewing skills, professional communication, workplace behavior, and understanding employer expectations.
• Support job placement by coaching participants on applications, resumes, and interview preparation; guide onboarding and post-placement success.
• Collaborate with internal staff to monitor participant progress and provide follow-up support for three months post-placement to ensure retention.
• Maintain an organized database of internship and employment opportunities; ensure accurate tracking of placements, employer feedback, and retention metrics.
• Provide regular reports and contribute to performance tracking, meeting all DYCD and CRED NYC reporting requirements.
• Represent SkillSpring in job fairs, networking events, and peer learning communities.
• Perform other duties as required to advance participant success.
