About the Role

As a Senior Scientist - Medical & Scientific Affairs, you will play a pivotal role advancing the trusted science behind well-known consumer health brands including TUMS, Gas-X, Centrum, and Benefiber with new research, claims, and communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of medical strategies inclusive of evidence generation, compelling evidence-based claims, scientific communications & visualizations, medical education, external expert/KOL engagement, benefit/risk assessments, etc.

  • Develop and deliver clear, credible scientific information that helps consumers understand the benefits and proper use of our products.

  • Support the creation of compelling claims and educational content that resonate with consumers while maintaining scientific integrity.

  • Contribute to research initiatives, including development of study plans and protocols.

  • Coordinate scientific advisory boards, consultant interactions, and grant applications.

  • Develop evidencebased responses to internal and external scientific/medical inquiries.

  • Apply an evidence-based approach to contribute to the development and review of product information, promotional, and non-promotional content to maintain scientific accuracy and adherence to internal and external standards.

  • Partner with marketing, digital, and other cross-functional teams to ensure claims and educational materials are accessible, relevant, and easy to understand for everyday consumers.

  • Evaluate emerging health trends, consumer behaviors, and competitor strategies to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation.

  • Conduct ongoing review and analysis of scientific literature to support product positioning and claims.

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external experts to ensure consumer needs are at the heart of scientific communications.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, healthcare (pharmacy/nutrition, etc.), or a related discipline.

  • Experience in a Medical/Scientific Affairs related role (1-3 years).

Preferred Skills:

  • Advanced degree in health sciences: PhD, MD, PharmD or similarly trained healthcare professional.

  • 4+ years of experience in Medical/Scientific Affairs related role in consumer healthcare, biotech, or related field.

  • Strong background in the interpretation, evaluation, translation, and communication of complex science for consumer and healthcare professional audiences.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, business acumen, and interpersonal skills.

Location: This role is based in based in Warren, NJ, and follows a hybrid model, requiring an in-office presence of 3 days per week.

Compensation: The salary range for this role is:$128,579 - $176,796 plus an 12% on-target annual bonus.
