Its portfolio includes Twentieth Television, FX Networks and Productions, Disney Branded Television, National Geographic Partners, ABC Entertainment, ABC News, and the ABC Owned Television Stations Group. As a hub for innovative storytellers and skilled creators, WDT produces, develops, and delivers exceptional content, with over 250 programs annually reaching more than 227 million households every month across various multimedia channels. These operations also support attorneys based in New York and California who collaborate with each business unit.

Disney Television Group is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Labor Relations J.D. Intern to assist the Labor Relations Department. The position offers practical experience applying labor law to collective bargaining agreements, exposure to union relations, participation in negotiation strategies and grievance meetings, as well as opportunities to develop executive-level legal writing skills.

What You Will Do:

  • Analyzing various collective bargaining agreements and assisting business units with implementation of contract terms (e.g., wages, hours, and working conditions) to ensure compliance with those agreements.

  • Investigating, handling and resolving grievances and information requests brought by unions and guilds.

  • Conducting research and writing memoranda on relevant labor laws.

  • Preparing summaries and presentations on various issues under our collective bargaining agreements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Relevant coursework in labor and employment law, entertainment business, entertainment law, or intellectual property.

  • Ability to multitask and handle several projects in a fast-paced setting.

  • Experience in research and using tools to gather and present information.

  • Strong attention to detail with high-volume document processing.

  • Proficiency with Word and Excel.

  • Collaborative teammate who can also work independently.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous internship or experience in the entertainment business.

Education:

  • Pursuing a J.D. degree and currently enrolled at an accredited law school, in your 1L or 2L year at the time of internship.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information:

  • Must provide full work availability from September through December 2026.

  • Must provide own housing and transportation, position is located in Burbank, CA.

The pay rate for this role in California is $41.40 per hour. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
