Job description

Land Rights Intern (Temporary / Full-Time)
Otter Tail Power Company is seeking a full-time Land Rights Intern to support document management and data entry projects within the Land Rights and Survey department.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and update property folders
  • Perform data entry for easement documents in Documentum to support document retention and shredding efforts
  • Scan, verify, and index land rights documents according to company standards
  • Enter and validate metadata related to easements, permits, and agreements
  • Assist with GIS and mapping-related tasks, as needed
  • Provide support with railroad (RR) annual payment issues, if applicable

Qualifications:
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow document naming conventions and data standards
  • GIS or mapping experience preferred, but not required

This is a temporary, full-time internship ideal for students pursuing GIS, land-related, document management, or similar fields. The expected base compensation for this role is $15-$21 hourly.
