Job Description

The Customer Supply Chain Co-Op/Intern will collaborate with sales, logistics, plants, and production planners to manage orders and resolve issues. The selected candidate will be responsible for working with customers on a day-to-day basis and handling inquiries received from customers to ensure that products and services are delivered in a timely manner.

WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL:

  • Work closely with customers to handle day-to-day inquiries.
  • Utilize multiple systems for order entry and verify customer orders for accuracy, load weight, pallet count, special considerations, etc.
  • Order management including monitoring and updating of shipping dates and communicating updates/changes to internal and external customers.
  • Track customer adherence to order rules and limitations during buy periods.
  • Monitor inventory and direct allocation priorities with allocation planners.
  • Responding to customer inquiries by phone and email and develop strong customer relationships
  • Collaborate with multiple internal departments to ensure a smooth order process by problem-solving to expedite as required using various data sources.
  • Preparing customer related reports
  • Identify trends in customer inquiries/complaints to support issue management and escalate these trends to the appropriate function.
  • Author, edit, and approve knowledge base articles or SOPs as assigned.
  • Analyze dashboards for the Customer Supply Chain Team and drive action plans to achieve customer centric targets.
  • Monitor late orders to ensure departmental metrics are met.
  • May require some travel within North America

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Current student enrolled in final year of studies at a College or University in a Business Administration, Supply Chain, Accounting, or Data Analytics program preferred. Recent graduates to be considered as well
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to problem-solve and "think outside the box."
  • Strong/proven analytical skills
  • Ability to handle a high volume of emails and orders.
  • Practical experience with MS Office (intermediate Excel skills) and detail-oriented research abilities.
  • Strong interest in building a long-term career in the field of Supply Chain.
  • Excellent customer focus and excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Candidate will follow the US Holiday Schedule.
  • Experience with JDE and Power BI is an asset
