Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Applications, Digital & Data, the Digital, Data & AI Intern will work alongside business and technology teams to support initiatives that help modernize and improve how Atura Power operates. This is a 12-month internship with possibility of extension to 18-month. This role is in-person at our corporate head office in Oakville ON.


Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Assist with AI readiness activities, including data governance and data classification.
  • Support AI and digital adoption activities through communications, training sessions, awareness campaigns, pilot initiatives, and user support.
  • Assist in monitoring emerging technologies, AI trends, and industry best practices, and share insights with the team.
  • Help coordinate and track digital initiatives, application enhancements, and project activities.
  • Work with team members, business stakeholders, and technology partners, including leading technology providers such as Microsoft, to support projects and technology initiatives.
  • Help support and improve enterprise applications and platforms, including Maximo, Dynamics 365, ServiceNow, and Microsoft 365.
  • Provide support with IT service desk requests and ticket coordination, as required.
  • Contribute to additional projects, initiatives, and learning opportunities as they arise.


Qualifications & Education

Education

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Technology Management, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field, and returning to school after co-op completion.
  • Must be returning to school after internship.

Core Competencies

  • Interest in how organizations leverage digital, data, AI, and technology solutions to achieve business objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate business requirements and technical concepts effectively.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and eager to learn, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Curiosity and continuous learning mindset, with an interest in emerging technologies and industry trends.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience using AI-assisted productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT).
  • Understanding of data governance, data management, reporting, analytics, and information management concepts.
  • Understanding of artificial intelligence (AI), including machine learning, generative AI, and responsible AI.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools such as Teams, Power BI, Power Automate, Forms, or Copilot is an asset.
  • Experience with Power BI, including data analysis, visualization, and dashboard development, is considered an asset.

Other Requirements

  • A valid driver's licence is required, as occasional travel within Ontario may be necessary.
