Job description

Legato, LLC recruiters () would love to speak with you regarding the following position: Signal Software Engineer in Aurora, CO. Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/ Polygraph Salary Range: $180,000-$200,000, depending on experience. What You Will Do:
The Signals Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances signal processing software. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware /software trade-offs, software reuse, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.  Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features. Debug existing software and correct defects. Describe various signal processing techniques. Identify various digital modulation techniques. Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Use signal processing algorithms to convert a signal. Design signal processing software based on documentation. Design/ implement complex signal processing algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints.  Identify the source of problems in a Radio Frequency (RF) processing system and associated systems in an enterprise architecture. Our minimum requirements for this role:
Experience with signal processing software such as detectors, demodulator, protocol processors, etc.
Experience writing software using C++/Java. Suggest languages to use as needed.
Understanding of Linux operating system
Experience with RF includes: Fourier transforms, filtering, communications theory, digital modulation, error control boding, signals analysis tools, digital processing tools and digital signal processing.
At least seven (7) years’ experience in a related position.
A bachelor's degree in a related field. Four (4) years’ experience may be substituted in lieu on a bachelor's degree, for a total of eleven (11) years’ experience. About Your New Company
