Digital Business Analyst

Location: Hybrid in Houston, TX; Onsite 3-4 days/week

Duration: 6 month contract, extension/conversion potential


We are looking for an experienced digital business analyst to help shape and strengthen customer self-service experiences in Houston, Texas. This contract position will work closely with product, UX, data, and business teams to turn customer needs into practical digital solutions across web, mobile, and conversational channels. The role focuses on improving customer journeys, advancing AI-supported capabilities, and ensuring initiatives are delivered with measurable business value.


Responsibilities:

• Drive discovery and requirements planning for digital self-service capabilities across customer-facing channels such as websites, mobile applications, and chat-based tools.

• Examine customer interactions from start to finish to uncover pain points, remove barriers, and increase satisfaction, adoption, and operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with business partners, UX specialists, product leaders, and data teams to create user stories, define acceptance criteria, and establish meaningful success measures.

• Assess where artificial intelligence and machine learning can improve customer support and self-service through features such as virtual assistants, predictive insights, personalization, and intelligent automation.

• Convert complex business goals and AI-related concepts into clear functional requirements that support scalable, measurable digital products.

• Act as the connection point between stakeholders and technical teams to maintain shared understanding, alignment, and effective execution in an Agile environment.

• Guide backlog grooming, priority setting, sprint preparation, and risk tracking to keep delivery efforts focused on customer and business outcomes.

• Contribute to product direction by helping define feature vision, support decision-making, and promote continuous enhancement of digital experiences.

• Provide guidance to less experienced analysts when needed and support cross-functional project efforts through leadership and mentorship.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of business analysis experience, including 2 or more years operating at a senior or lead-level capacity.
• Demonstrated background supporting customer-facing digital platforms, especially self-service websites, portals, or similar solutions.
• Hands-on experience with AI-enabled products or capabilities, including conversational tools, workflow automation, predictive models, recommendation engines, or personalization solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Agile delivery practices, including Scrum or Kanban, with experience writing user stories and managing backlogs.
• Ability to translate business needs into detailed requirements, documentation, and actionable delivery plans.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams.
