Our knowledge of technical engineering and design sets us apart from other recruiting and staffing agencies and now Designeers Midwest serves clients large and small from coast to coast.

Our contract personnel include Engineers and Designers skilled in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronic, Chemical, Process, and Structural / Architectural disciplines. Our Scientific Professionals serve the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Environmental and Medical fields. In addition, we also provide administrative personnel with experience in technical engineering and scientific environments.

Job Description

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install, train and provide technical knowledge and troubleshooting on team product line at the customer's facility.
  • Provide a communication link with the customer.  
  • Create and develop procedural documentation.
  • Use and understand the Customer Support computer system.
  • Support the Product Specialist on a rotational basis.
  • Support the Knowledge Products Team as a subject matter expert.
  • Occasional participation outside of the team product line.

Required Skills

  • Must have good electro-mechanical skills (motors, drives, transformers).  Focus on mechanical repair.
  • Knowledge of a specialized field such as machine tool manufacture, installation, operation, maintenance and repair, and/or a broad shop background.
  • Technical knowledge and logical troubleshooting across team product line.
  • Excellent communication and customer relation skills.
  • Rational decision making and problem solving ability.
  • Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Position is about 50% travel and need to have the ability to work remotely.  

Required Experience

  • 2 Year Technical degree (Electrical/Automation) and 2 or more years' experience in a related field (desired), or similar mechanical skills/experience (a co-op, internship or job in a manufacturing environment), and a stable work history.
  • Educational knowledge of electronics is a must.
  • Strong mechanical repair experience.
