We are seeking an experienced and sales-driven Business Development Manager to drive growth for Intrax Global Internships. This role is responsible for expanding Intrax's network of host organizations across the United States by identifying, cultivating, and securing new employer partnerships for our J-1 Intern and Trainee programs.

The Business Development Manager will educate employers on the value and regulatory requirements of the J-1 Exchange Visitor Program while helping organizations address talent needs through international internship and trainee placements. This position is ideal for a relationship-focused sales professional who thrives on prospecting, building strategic partnerships, and closing new business opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business-to-business sales, lead generation, and account acquisition, with experience selling services, workforce solutions, staffing, recruitment, or other consultative solutions.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to expand Intrax's host organization network and achieve annual growth targets.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective host organizations through networking, referrals, outbound prospecting, social media, industry associations, conferences, and market research.
  • Identify organizations whose workforce needs align with Intrax's J-1 Intern and Trainee sponsorship designations, particularly within STEM, business, marketing, hospitality, and related occupational categories.
  • Generate and qualify leads through phone outreach, video meetings, email campaigns, LinkedIn, and in-person networking activities.

  • Prepare proposals, presentations, partnership agreements, and responses to RFPs as needed.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through signed host organization agreements and onboarding.
  • Negotiate partnership terms and successfully close new business opportunities.
  • Leverage existing host organization success stories, industry expertise, and case studies to expand market presence within targeted industries.
  • Develop customized workforce solutions that address employer talent needs through the Intrax Global Internships program.
  • Maintain prospecting and sales activity levels necessary to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual business objectives.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and activity tracking.
  • Collaborate with Account Management, Operations, Compliance, Recruitment, and Marketing teams to ensure successful host organization onboarding, retention, and growth.
  • Secure host organization agreements in compliance with all applicable J-1 program regulations and sponsor requirements.

Additional Functions:

  • Research emerging industries and market segments to identify opportunities for program expansion.
  • Monitor workforce development, talent mobility, internship, and international education trends.
  • Represent Intrax at conferences, networking events, trade associations, chambers of commerce, and workforce development forums.
  • Assist with development of employer-focused marketing materials, presentations, success stories, and case studies.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Intrax services, competitive positioning, and industry trends.
  • Support strategic planning and growth initiatives for the Intrax Global Internships program.

Required Experience:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of successful business-to-business sales, business development, employer relations, staffing, recruiting, workforce development, account management, or related experience.
  • Demonstrated success prospecting, generating leads, building pipelines, and closing new business opportunities.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and consistently achieving performance goals.
  • Experience selling services, workforce solutions, recruitment solutions, staffing services, or consultative business solutions.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience conducting telephone, video, and in-person sales presentations.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, LinkedIn, Microsoft Office Suite, and other business development tools.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience developing employer partnerships and strategic business relationships.
  • Experience in staffing, workforce development, talent acquisition, or related industries.
  • Familiarity with J-1 Exchange Visitor Programs.
  • Experience working in a performance-driven sales environment.
