Job description

The Role

Willmeng is building the future of construction, and that starts with the talent we bring in. We're looking for a dynamic Early Career Recruiting Lead to own our campus recruitment strategy and connect the next generation of construction professionals with meaningful careers. If you thrive on building relationships, love the energy of a career fair, and are passionate about creating pipelines that matter, this role is for you.

This role requires approximately 40-60% travel during university career fair seasons in the Fall and Spring semesters.

What you will accomplish

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand current and future talent needs, aligning recruitment strategy to real business goals.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive campus recruitment strategy across construction management, civil engineering, skilled trades, and business programs.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with universities, community colleges, and trade schools, from program managers and professors to student organizations.
  • Represent Willmeng at career fairs, classroom presentations, information sessions, and networking events across the country.
  • Recruit, train, and prepare interview teams to show up confidently and consistently at campus events.
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for early career candidates, from first touchpoint through offer acceptance.
  • Support our internship program by designing meaningful experiences that convert interns into full-time talent.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create recruitment materials and digital content that resonate with student audiences.
  • Track and manage a campus talent pipeline, using data and metrics to evaluate what's working and where to improve.
  • Manage the campus recruitment budget strategically to maximize reach and ROI.

What we would like you to have

  • 2+ years of experience in campus recruiting or university relations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; you can hold a room whether it's a lecture hall or a one-on-one interview.
  • A track record of building authentic relationships with students, faculty, and university staff.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and modern recruiting technologies.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to multiple campuses throughout the year.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and its career pathways is a plus, but a genuine curiosity about the field will go a long way.

You're inspired by our values

  • Altruistic - Our foundation is built upon the authentic, selfless concern we share for the success and wellbeing of others.
  • Fair 360 - We illuminate with kindness by seeking to understand before being understood and by caring more than may seem reasonable so we can achieve genuine success for all.
  • Strategic - The blueprint that guides the creation of a genuine place of purpose expresses the clarity of our vision, the rigor of our thought and the character of our word.
  • Sincere - We present no facades, only genuine elevations of truth, trust, and wholehearted loyalty to the employees we mentor, the clients we serve and the communities we call home.
  • Nimble - Our structural integrity is ensured through the balance of resourcefulness, responsiveness, and adaptability and strengthened by being well-rounded in the market to serve at the highest levels.

Compensation

Alongside cash, our total compensation package includes comprehensive benefits and 100% employee ownership. From wellness to work life, our benefits support our employees' total wellbeing.

Benefits

  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan
  • Discretionary annual bonus
  • 401k with employer match
  • Employee medical, dental, and vision insurance 100% covered, with options to add dependents at 50% coverage by Willmeng
  • Flexible Time Off Policy
  • 9 paid company holidays
  • 3 consecutive weeks of parental bonding leave, with an additional 3-5 weeks of disability leave for delivery recovery
  • Spacious break rooms with healthy meals & snacks provided at no additional cost
