Job description

Raymour & Flanigan, the premier furniture retailer in the Northeast, is currently seeking an experienced Supply Chain professional, based in Liverpool, NY, that can join our team and work to enhance the shopping experience for our customers. The position is ideal for a career minded individual with 3-5 years relevant experience and a four year college degree.

Expectations and Job Functions:

Demand Planning

  • Responsible for the forecasting and demand planning processes for import and domestic, furniture product lines.
  • Maintain and develop monthly forecasts for a specific portfolio of vendors using the NetSuite Planning & Budgeting software as the primary forecasting tool.
  • Develop systems understanding of demand planning software.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising Buyers to align forecasts with seasonality and promotional activity.
  • Evaluate performance of promotions, analyze sales history and monitor sales trends to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Partner with vendors to support the demand and inventory strategy for new product launches.
  • Manage company inventory targets from a new product launch through to the balancing and exit of dropped collections.
  • Maintain strategic and collaborative relationships with the Merchandising team.

Supply Planning

  • Analyze and develop weekly supply plan to achieve consistent flow of finished goods.
  • Ensure optimal levels of inventory are maintained, while increasing inventory turns and satisfying customer demand via in stock merchandise.
  • Develop system's understanding of supply planning software to enhance and flow product from forecast, to purchase order transmission, and acknowledgement.
  • Track shipments of purchase orders through weekly communications with vendors.
  • Apply analytical skills to maintain safety stock levels and anticipated demand as it relates to the sales forecast and vendors order flow capabilities.
  • Develop and foster vendor partnerships at the executive level, as well as customer service and logistics.
  • Collaborate with vendor community to ensure compliance with Raymour & Flanigan's supply chain expectations to reduce stock-outs and over-stocked items.
  • Coordinate with the Raymour & Flanigan global logistics team to ensure seamless flow of merchandise throughout the supply chain.
  • Develop a close, cooperative and supportive relationship with cross functional partners to ensure mutually beneficial decisions are made from a broad company perspective.

Qualifications:

  • Must thrive in a fast paced, demand orientated business with frequent and rapid priority changes.
  • Strong analytical skills, decision making ability and demonstrated business acumen.
  • 3-5 years supply chain or ERP Demand Planning work experience
  • Four year college degree required
