Job Summary: Operates all MRI Scanners to perform diagnostic exams according to physician orders. Insures the safe and efficient flow of patients in this area. Ensures complete and accurate data entry in the RIS and PACS systems.

Location: Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL

Schedule:

  • 13-week contract - Monday - Thursday 8:00 am- 4:30 pm

Payrate:

  • $59-$62.00 based on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Performs Diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging of organs, organ systems and blood flow studies.
  • Provides radiologists with images necessary to obtain diagnostic results so that a comprehensive diagnostic report is available to referring physician.
  • Orients physicians, residents, staff and student technologist in objectives and applications of magnetic resonance imaging and safety.
  • Assists nursing staff in area e.g. witnesses nursing staff in wasting medication and documents in Pyxis.

Qualifications:

  • Requires completion of an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, which normally is acquired in a two-year college or technical school program.
  • ARRT certified with current registration required
  • FL Radiography License.
  • Experienced with MR Siemens Vida and Sola Scans
  • BLS CPR certification required; PALS and NRP is a plus
  • Must have at least 3 years MRI experience required in neuro, body, musculoskeletal, and vascular areas; 6 months of Pediatric MRI experience
  • MRI training program experience with a clinical internship or one year of MRI experience.
