Summary of Job Duties:
Graduate students work 10 hours per week. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job duty as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.
Qualifications:
Required Education and or Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education;
  • Regular admission to a graduate degree program or good standing with the Graduate School for continuing graduate students;
  • Ability to work the required hours (FT-50% - 20 hours per week/PT-25% - 10 hours per week) with regular attendance.

Job Duties:
Graduate assistants in the School of Social Work complete various tasks and work in various capacities including:
  • Assisting faculty with research;
  • Assisting faculty with teaching duties.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously on a deadline;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Ability to meet each week with a faculty mentor.
