Looking for an interactive, hands on Co-Op opportunity that will take your skills to the next level?
Come join our Technical Services team! We're currently searching for a Research & Development Co-op undergraduate student for upcoming semesters; this is a 6-8 month Co-Op position. In this role, you will help perform validation testing on new flexible packaging and label constructions, conduct competitive analyses, benchmark performance of competitive material, and help determine the right product requirements based on customer needs. As an integral part of the team, you will gain hands on experience, while also grow your skills and knowledge within the packaging industry.
Spring Semesters Co-Op: January - May
Fall Semesters Co-Op: May - December

Position Overview
  • Perform package performance testing on new flexible packaging and pressure sensitive label constructions for specific end-use applications (e.g. simulated conditions testing, distribution testing, physical property testing).
  • Material analysis of customer supplied samples to determine raw material construction.
  • Assist engineering staff with determination of product/package/label requirements through interaction with customers and suppliers.
  • Assist in profiling and characterization of new and existing materials to help define material specifications (e.g. flexible packaging materials, pressure sensitive label material, adhesives, inks, etc.).
  • Communicate project status and results in a clear and professional manner.
  • Assist as needed with any long-term projects outlined by Technical Service department.

Position Requirements
  • Student enrolled full time at an accredited university pursuing a quality related career. Some applicable majors may include Packaging, Applied Science - Tech Sales and Support, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Graphics Communications Management, MS - Management Technology.
    • Undergraduate students only
  • Knowledge of and the ability to effectively utilize the English language.
  • Must demonstrate ability to problem solve.
