Why you'll love this role

As the StockX Creative Director you’ll lead the global creative direction of the StockX Brand —from initial concept through design, production, and delivery across the entire marketing funnel. This role will be responsible for the development of bespoke creative for key brand and marketing initiatives including seasonal campaigns, editorial creative, events, partnerships, cultural moments, paid media and performance, as well as social marketing. Balancing creativity with business objectives, the Creative Director ensures that all creative output aligns with client goals while pushing the boundaries of storytelling and design.

The ideal candidate has extensive (7+ years) experience overseeing marketing initiatives for top consumer-facing brands. This role demands a strong background in art direction, with a deep understanding of visual storytelling, design principles, technology and production processes across various media, with specific focus on campaign development and strategy -- as well as passion for sneaker and streetwear culture. They still love (and are willing) to be hands‑on in the creative process, while maintaining an entrepreneurial mindset - believing in the value of efficient processes in powering great creativity. They possess the ability to communicate a clear creative vision that inspires internal teams and results in work that is authentic, beautiful, and resonant with our customers.

What You’ll Do
  • Help to define the evolving StockX brand and its application through creative direction, visual identity, brand design, messaging/voice, photography, video, and overall storytelling
  • Lead the development of creative concepts that can be leveraged across multiple marketing touchpoints, ensuring they are compelling, brand-aligned, results-driven, and strategically effective
  • Establish processes to implement and maintain consistent brand standards across all customer touchpoints
  • Lead cross‑functional projects across multiple teams to ensure creative aligns with brand positioning and business objectives
  • Present and defend creative concepts to internal stakeholders and clients, incorporating feedback while maintaining creative integrity
  • Manage creative resources to ensure work achieves business and project goals, meets the highest quality standards, and is delivered on time and within budget
  • Skillfully translate a global creative vision to our international markets, in a way that allows for local flexibility, extensions, and relevance
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and cultural movements to keep campaigns fresh and relevant
  • Mentor and develop creative team members - providing high‑level direction, hands‑on feedback and ongoing development opportunities – while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration
About You
  • 7+ years of experience in advertising, branding, or creative direction, with a portfolio that demonstrates creative work that unifies strategy and execution across a range of channels, aesthetics, and project budgets
  • Passion for the culture around sneakers and/or streetwear. Experience working with fashion, lifestyle, or product-driven brands is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in senior creative roles at a consumer brand, creative agency, editorial publication and/or retailer. In‑house experience is preferred
  • A strong network of creative collaborators and resources to leverage for key brand moments.
  • Exceptional creative concepting and development skills
  • Extensive experience leading or informing art direction across photography and video
  • Understanding of native digital content creation -- including concepting for organic social, onsite merchandising, and performance marketing campaigns
  • Fluency with contemporary social media platforms, technologies, and trends
  • Expert knowledge of e-commerce and digital marketing best practices
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
  • A self‑starter with the ability to navigate ambiguous situations and thrive in a fast‑paced, start‑up environment
  • Effective cross‑team collaborator with the ability to work across multiple creative projects and meet aggressive deadlines
  • The demonstrated ability to leverage performance metrics, customer insights, and data to inform and defend strategic recommendations
  • A team‑oriented leader with the proven ability to mentor and develop creative talent
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and an understanding of production tools.
