Job description

Overview

The Associate Project Manager supports the management of residential projects from property acquisition through completion. Working closely with and under the guidance of Project Managers, this role coordinates project scheduling, budgeting, vendor coordination, documentation, quality control, and field operations to help ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while gaining hands-on experience in residential construction project management.  Must be local to the Atlanta, GA area for the role.  Candidates located in the northern Atlanta suburbs are preferred.   Pay range for the role is $25.00 to $32.00 an hour.


Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Managers in coordinating residential renovation projects from planning through completion.  
  • Support pre-purchase property inspections and scope development. 
  • Assist with scheduling contractors, vendors, inspections, and deliveries to maintain project timelines.  
  • Track project progress and provide regular updates to Project Managers.  
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, budgets, schedules, and job files.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure work is completed. 
  • Conduct routine site visits to document project progress.  
  • Monitor project milestones and escalate scheduling or budget concerns to the Project Manager.  
  • Support permit, inspection, and compliance activities as needed.  
  • Help ensure job sites remain organized and compliant with company safety expectations.  
  • Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned. 

Qualifications

Experience 

  • 1–3 years of experience in construction, residential renovations, project coordination, construction administration, estimating, or a related field preferred.  
  • Experience in residential construction, home remodeling, or property renovations is preferred but not required.  
  • Internship or entry-level experience in construction project management will also be considered.  

Education 

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.  
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.  

Skills 

  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.  
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.  
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.  
  • Basic understanding of residential construction processes and terminology preferred.  
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with construction management software is a plus.  
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel between job sites within the market.

  • OSHA 10 preferred.
