Internship Conversion Rate Optimization information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Internship Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Internship Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Specialist, you need a solid understanding of digital marketing, analytics, and user experience principles, often supported by coursework or certifications in marketing, statistics, or a related field. Familiarity with A/B testing tools (like Optimizely or Google Optimize), web analytics platforms (such as Google Analytics), and basic HTML/CSS is typically expected. Strong analytical thinking, creative problem-solving, and effective communication skills help you generate insights and collaborate across teams. These abilities are vital for identifying opportunities, implementing tests, and driving measurable improvements in online performance.

What types of projects can I expect to work on as a Conversion Rate Optimization intern, and how will I collaborate with other teams?

As a Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) intern, you can expect to work on projects such as A/B testing website elements, analyzing user behavior data, and developing recommendations to improve user experience and conversion rates. You’ll frequently collaborate with marketing, design, and development teams to implement and monitor the impact of your experiments. This cross-functional work environment provides valuable exposure to different perspectives and skill sets, and interns often gain hands-on experience using industry-standard analytics tools. Additionally, you may participate in brainstorming sessions and performance reviews to discuss results and next steps for optimization initiatives.

What is the difference between Internship Conversion Rate Optimization vs Digital Marketing Intern?

What is an Internship Conversion Rate Optimization role?

An Internship Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) role involves analyzing user behavior on websites or apps and implementing strategies to increase the percentage of visitors who complete desired actions, like signing up or making a purchase. Interns in this position typically work with data analytics tools, run A/B tests, and collaborate with marketing and design teams to improve user experience. The goal is to learn how to drive measurable improvements in conversion rates, while gaining hands-on experience in digital marketing and optimization techniques.

Job description

About us:

Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest decisions most people ever make. Thousands of Canadians trust Right at Home Realty, Property.ca, Condos.ca, and MrLoft.ca to help them make it, connecting buyers, sellers, renters, landlords, and agents at the right moment, with the right experience.

Behind every brokerage and marketplace sits myAbode's transaction processing platform, handling 30,000+ deals a year across thousands of agents. We sit at the centre of how Canadian real estate actually works by delivering that same back office to brokerages across Canada.

myAbode is a young company with deep roots. We're an AI-native team rebuilding the real estate back office from the ground up; reimagining the most complex, emotional, and consequential transaction in most people's lives. The next era of real estate will run on new infrastructure, and we're making sure it's built in Canada, with the in-house expertise to back it.

Round13-backed, we offer the stability of an established company with the pace of a startup. We're curious, we move fast, and we're built for context switching. If you want to build something ambitious alongside genuinely smart people, in a space that's ready for it, this is the place.

The role:

The Head of Growth owns top-of-funnel demand end-to-end, from first visit to qualified lead, with one clear goal: grow revenue by turning more of that traffic into qualified leads. Conversion rate optimization is the engine. You will own visitor-to-lead conversion through experimentation, roadmap, and lead-capture flows, and the metrics that govern them, treating every point of lift as direct revenue impact. To feed that engine, you will drive qualified traffic across every acquisition channel, find and scale new sources of demand, and run organic and search strategy across content architecture, technical health, and rankings for high-intent queries. You will also set the multi-quarter growth thesis for the portfolio and own the growth model and forecast that ties acquisition and conversion back to revenue, setting direction and priorities across the function.

What you'll own:

  • You'll spearhead traffic growth and own the strategy to grow qualified visitors across all acquisition channels. You'll identify and scale new sources of top-of-funnel demand.
  • You'll spearhead conversion rates and own visitor-to-lead conversion end-to-end: experimentation, roadmap, lead-capture flows, and the metrics that govern them.
  • You'll own organic and search: SEO and GEO strategy, content architecture, technical health, and getting found and cited for the queries that matter. This is where our demand comes from.
  • You'll own the top of the funnel through to the qualified lead, handing off clean to the team that owns what happens after.
  • You'll spearhead the growth vision, defining the multi-quarter growth thesis for the portfolio and owning the growth model and forecast.
  • You'll build and lead a small growth team, setting direction and priorities across the function.
  • You'll own the acquisition through to a qualified lead, with a clean handoff to the role owning lead routing, nurturing, and post-lead experience.

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years in growth-product / growth-PM, owning the conversion and experimentation side of the funnel.
  • Owned a revenue or qualified-lead number, not just traffic. You can point to growth you drove and what it did to the funnel and the top line.
  • Deep CRO chops. You have run real visitor-to-lead experimentation programs (hypotheses, tests, lead-capture flows) and can talk through wins and the ones that flopped and why.
  • Built a growth model or forecast you actually steered against. You connect acquisition and conversion back to revenue, not vanity metrics.
  • Real organic and SEO chops, with a current point of view on GEO and AI search. You don't need to hand-craft every page, but you know good from generic, and you can direct the work.
  • Builder, not just operator. You have designed growth systems from a messy starting point, not only run a mature machine someone else built.
  • Uses AI concretely in the day-to-day. We will probe for specifics on how it shows up in your workflow, not enthusiasm.
  • Async-first operator. You write things down, set direction clearly, and move without constant real-time check-ins.

Nice to have:

  • Hands-on marketing experience across paid and demand-gen channels. You've run an acquisition yourself, not just directed it.
  • Marketplace, proptech, fintech, or other high-intent / consideration-purchase experience.
  • Has built and led a small team, or is ready to take that step.
  • Experience in defining a multi-quarter growth thesis across multiple brands or a portfolio.
  • Toronto / GTA-based (this role is hybrid)

Why myAbode:

Real estate is ready for disruption and ready to be reimagined. The data exists. The intent exists. The technology exists. And we're the team doing it.

We're not just building software. We're changing the most emotional, complex, and consequential transaction in most people's lives, alongside some of the most talented, passionate, and genuinely excellent people we've ever worked with. A team that moves fast, thinks big, and cares deeply about getting it right. Flexible enough to change direction when the market demands it. Focused enough to go deep when it matters.

The industry is ready. The platform is ready. Are you?

What We Offer:

  • Competitive compensation commensurate with role and skill set
  • Health, Dental & Vision benefits, plus a Health Spending Account & Lifestyle Spending Account
  • A fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with the challenges and rewards that come with it
  • A casual, pet-friendly office with fun social events
