What is an internship conversion rate optimization?

An Internship Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) role involves analyzing user behavior on websites or apps and implementing strategies to increase the percentage of visitors who complete desired actions, like signing up or making a purchase. Interns in this position typically work with data analytics tools, run A/B tests, and collaborate with marketing and design teams to improve user experience. The goal is to learn how to drive measurable improvements in conversion rates, while gaining hands-on experience in digital marketing and optimization techniques.

What types of projects can I expect to work on as an internship conversion rate optimization, and how will I collaborate with other teams?

As a Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) intern, you can expect to work on projects such as A/B testing website elements, analyzing user behavior data, and developing recommendations to improve user experience and conversion rates. You’ll frequently collaborate with marketing, design, and development teams to implement and monitor the impact of your experiments. This cross-functional work environment provides valuable exposure to different perspectives and skill sets, and interns often gain hands-on experience using industry-standard analytics tools. Additionally, you may participate in brainstorming sessions and performance reviews to discuss results and next steps for optimization initiatives.

  • Oversee the entire sales funnel, including inquiry response, follow-up, care consultations, conversion, admission, and the transition to Operations.

  • Conduct pipeline reviews, field coaching, sales training, performance evaluations, and regular one-on-one meetings.

  • Provide the Owner with sales forecasts, performance reports, market insights, and recommended actions.

  • Ensure effective use of the agency’s CRM, including accurate lead sources, pipeline stages, follow-up activities, and sales outcomes.

  • Direct local marketing efforts, including digital marketing, social media, email campaigns, website content, SEO, Google Business Profiles, online reviews, community events, and professional education.

  • At least three years of direct leadership experience, including coaching employees, managing performance, and holding a team accountable to measurable goals.

  • Demonstrated success increasing referrals, admissions, census, service utilization, occupancy, or revenue.

  • Experience developing relationships with healthcare professionals and organizational decision-makers.
