Job description

Introduction

This role is for an internship in Summer 2027. The Internship is expected to start on Monday, May 24th with an end date of Friday, August 13th. Candidates must be available to start and end on these days.

At IBM, we believe technology shapes the world, and we are a catalyst for innovation and creativity. We are at the forefront of groundbreaking change - improving businesses, society, and the human condition. As a leader in Hybrid Cloud and AI, we are leading the charge in a worldwide digital transformation.

Our Performance Marketing team drives scalable and predictable revenue growth. We exist to generate demand for IBM's products and offerings - and to convert that demand into measurable pipeline and business impact. As part of our team, you'll be surrounded by bright minds and keen collaborators - always willing to help and be helped - as you apply passion to work that will compel our audience to choose IBM's products and services.

When you join IBM, you join a culture of openness, collaboration, and trust. You join a team of IBMers who are helping technology support a positive global transformation. So join us and experience a place where you can co-create your learning and opportunities. A place where teamwork and unique ideas are treasured. A place where you can bring innovation to life.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you'll work collaboratively, driving work that addresses a strategic business challenge facing our team: helping to turn our vast collection of content into an easily understandable system that supports our visitors' key needs. In addition to your project work, the internship includes educational, networking, and social activities. At the end of program, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your final outcomes to a large audience of leaders, practitioners, and peers across the organization. This is a highly visible intern program with leadership exposure and mentorship throughout the summer.

The Brand & Content Strategy team articulates the unique value that IBM brings to customers and applies deep knowledge of our target audiences to define and map the best ways to engage them - in the right place, at the right time, with value provided at every interaction. We inspire the most powerful, innovative and effective creative work that advances and supports our brand all the way through demand generation. We create stories and content experiences that matter to our audiences, move them to act and cut through the noise in the market. We believe that content is the best way to build relationships at scale and that stories must be creatively told, uniquely delivered, and useful.

We are looking for a Brand and Content Strategist to help build brand relevance, consideration and demand through brand and content strategies that engage, inspire and progress clients, partners, and prospects to choose IBM. In this role, you may:

  • Collaborate with the team to support development of integrated brand-to-demand messaging and content plans that deliver the right content, at the right time, to the right audiences and drive the right outcomes
  • Apply deep curiosity to build an understanding of the market, target audiences and IBM's offerings to help create the most compelling messaging and content
  • Analyze performance metrics and make data-driven recommendations to build the IBM brand from awareness to demand and develop optimization plans
  • Work closely with internal agency partners on development and execution of specific elements of the content strategy, write creative and tactical briefs to prompt work, collaborate on asset creation, and help inform teams to do their best creative work for IBM

This role is based in New York City. We work in a hybrid environment. This position will be required to come into the office at least three days per week.

This role will be posted until September 25. We will review all applications.
