POSITION SUMMARY
Foothills Bank, a Division of Glacier Bank, is seeking a creative and self-motivated Social Media and Content Specialist to join our marketing team. This role is responsible for creating and managing content across the bank's social media and digital signage platforms to promote products and services, strengthen our brand, and engage customers and communities throughout Arizona.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer and creative storyteller with a passion for content creation and an eye for photography and video. This position also supports marketing initiatives through copywriting for email campaigns, website content, articles, press releases, and other marketing communications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, schedule, and publish content across social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and emerging channels.
  • Manage the bank's digital signage program and create localized branch content.
  • Capture and edit photos and short-form videos at branches, community events, and bank-sponsored activities.
  • Create compelling written, graphic, photo, and video content that supports brand awareness, engagement, and business growth.
  • Write and edit social media posts, email campaigns, website copy, articles, customer stories, press releases, and digital signage messaging.
  • Partner with internal teams to promote products, services, employees, and community involvement.
  • Work with external vendors and partners as needed.
  • Create graphics using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging platforms, and best practices to identify new opportunities.
  • Monitor social media engagement, respond to public comments, and manage customer concerns in accordance with bank policies.
  • Track and report on content performance, using insights to optimize future strategies.
  • Support marketing campaigns, sponsorships, community events, and other marketing initiatives.

About You
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • One or more years of professional marketing, communications, social media, or content creation experience.
  • Strong writing, communication, proofreading, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated content creation experience through work, internships, coursework, freelance projects, or personal initiatives.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Arizona and occasionally out of state.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience producing short-form video content.
  • Photography and video editing skills.
  • Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
  • Copywriting and proof reading experience.
  • Experience with social media management and scheduling platforms.
  • Familiarity with banking or financial services.

Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
Working conditions: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.
Must be capable of up to 20% travel (e.g. 3-4 days/month) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job, and the employee must have the ability to drive and have proper licensing.

Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position. We offer an extensive benefits package that includes, but is not limited to medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Coverage is available to employees and their eligible dependents in accordance with our written plan documents. You may also be eligible for a health savings account option, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a health rewards program, a retirement savings plan, including 401(k) and Profit-Sharing plans, short and long-term disability benefits, education and training benefits, and discounts on banking products and services. We also offer a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) plan and paid holidays. PTO accruals begin at .0745 per hour worked for our part time employees up to a maximum accrual of 240 hours per year for certain Full-Time employees. PTO accruals are dependent on position, status (Full time or Part time), and years of experience in accordance with our PTO policy. Most Full-Time employees are also offered 6 paid holidays and Part Time employees are offered pro-rated paid holidays.
