These internships typically involve assisting experienced stage designers with tasks such as creating stage layouts, building scale models, preparing technical drawings, and supporting the setup and teardown of live performances. Interns learn about lighting, audio, rigging, and other technical aspects of stage production. These roles provide valuable exposure to the creative and practical challenges of live event design and can be a stepping stone to a career in stage or production design.

As an intern in concert stage design, you can expect to assist with creating stage layouts, developing 3D models, and preparing visual presentations. You'll likely work closely with senior designers, lighting technicians, and production managers to translate creative concepts into practical designs. Typical tasks include drafting technical drawings, researching materials, and occasionally participating in on-site setup or rehearsals. This hands-on experience is valuable for understanding both the creative and logistical aspects of live event production.
