Description

GXM is seeking a Test & Evaluation Lead to join our team to support advanced defense and space-related mission programs focused on Command and Control (C2), mission systems integration, cloud modernization, and enterprise capability delivery. 


The selected candidate will lead test planning, execution, verification, validation, and evaluation activities supporting hardware, software, network, and mission system capabilities. The Test & Evaluation Lead will work closely with engineers, architects, operators, mission stakeholders, and program leadership to ensure capabilities are thoroughly tested, validated, and assessed prior to operational deployment. 


This role requires expertise in system testing, integration testing, operational evaluation, verification and validation methodologies, and mission-focused assessment activities supporting complex defense and space environments. 


This role is onsite in Colorado Springs, CO. Hybrid flexibility may be available over time based on mission requirements, program execution needs, and achievement of objectives. 


Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain the overall test and evaluation strategy supporting mission systems, infrastructure, applications, and operational capabilities. 
  • Support Initial Operational Capability (IOC) evaluations and readiness assessments to ensure capabilities meet mission and operational requirements. 
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute functional testing activities validating software, hardware, networking, and mission system performance. 
  • Lead integration testing efforts to verify interoperability across applications, services, infrastructure, data environments, and external mission partners. 
  • Conduct system validation activities to confirm capabilities satisfy operational requirements, technical objectives, and mission outcomes. 
  • Evaluate system performance during mission events, demonstrations, operational exercises, and readiness activities. 
  • Provide Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) support for technical capabilities participating in operational exercises and mission rehearsals. 
  • Collaborate with systems engineers, software engineers, DevSecOps personnel, and mission stakeholders to identify and resolve technical deficiencies. 
  • Develop test plans, procedures, evaluation criteria, test reports, and technical assessment documentation supporting program objectives. 
  • Identify testing risks, performance gaps, integration challenges, and operational impacts and provide recommendations to program leadership. 

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or related technical discipline. 
  • 8+ years of experience supporting test and evaluation, systems engineering, verification and validation, or operational assessment activities. 
  • Experience developing and executing test strategies, test plans, evaluation methodologies, and assessment frameworks. 
  • Experience supporting hardware, software, infrastructure, and system integration testing activities. 
  • Experience performing system validation, operational assessments, or readiness evaluations. 
  • Familiarity with systems engineering principles, test automation approaches, and verification methodologies. 
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and technical briefing skills. 
  • Experience supporting complex mission systems, operational environments, or enterprise technology programs. 

Desired Qualifications 

  • Experience supporting defense, space, intelligence, or multi-domain operational environments. 
  • Familiarity with Command and Control (C2) systems, mission systems, or operational mission environments. 
  • Experience supporting IOC evaluations, operational test events, exercises, or mission demonstrations. 
  • INCOSE, ISTQB, DAU Test & Evaluation certification, or equivalent technical certification preferred. 

$100,000 - $170,000 salary + annual bonus eligibility + medical/dental/vision/STD/LTD/Life + 401(k) + PTO
