Description
Are you a CAD Student looking for a paid summer internship? Kleen-Rite is seeking a motivated student or recent graduate with formal training in AutoCAD LT to support our warehouse operations team during the summer. This internship will focus on updating and creating CAD drawings of equipment layouts, work areas, and facility spaces to support operational efficiency and organization. This role may also include occasional travel to other company locations to support layout and design projects.
This is a hands-on opportunity to apply your CAD skills in a real-world, fast-paced warehouse environment.
Your Impact:
  • Create & update 2D CAD drawings using AutoCAD LT (2023).
  • Assist in mapping warehouse layouts, including equipment, storage areas, and workflow paths.
  • Revise drawings based on operational changes and team feedback.
  • Conduct basic measurements of work areas to ensure drawing accuracy.
  • Organize and maintain CAD files and documentation.
  • Potential to travel to other company locations to assist with facility projects.
  • Collaborate with warehouse leadership to understand layout needs and improvements
  • Other duties or projects, as assigned.

Requirements
What we're looking for:
  • Associate's degree (completed or in progress) in Drafting, Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • AutoCAD 2023 LT certification or current coursework/training in AutoCAD LT required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate drawings
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, including time on the floor for measurements and observations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally, including out-of-state, as needed.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
  • Willingness to learn new technology and follow safety procedures.
  • Reliable and punctual with good communication skills with the ability to read documents in Standard English text.
  • Must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug screen and background check.
