The Internship Commercial Appraiser Trainee is an entry-level position focused on gaining experience and training under supervision, while the Commercial Appraiser is a licensed professional responsible for conducting independent commercial property valuations. TRAINING PROVIDED FOR THE RIGHT PERSON
This is the entry level classification into the appraiser job series. Incumbents are responsible for collecting data and preparing reports under direct supervision. Data collection will primarily consist of the physical surveying of residential and commercial properties and interviewing residents as needed to confirm the condition of individual properties. A designated appraiser will provide training and supervision. Additional duties may include:
High School diploma or G.E.D., construction, vertical, Drafting, Appraisal trainee or class and/or real estate experience preferred. Ideal candidate will have preparatory appraisal course work related to the measuring/listing of structures and data collection for appraisals. Licensing Requirements: Valid Driver's License and personal vehicle is required (mileage will be reimbursed).
