Job description

Responsibilities:

1.ย  Operates the assigned program within the philsophy of the school corporation and the varsity coach.

ย 

2.ย  Responsible for all squad members from reporting time until departure from school grounds.

ย 

3.ย  Available to attend all functions by 3:05 p.m. (practice, locker room supervision and games)

ย 

4.ย  Oversee individual and team conditioning workouts.

ย 

5.ย  Follow all guidelines and policies set forth by the school and the IHSAA.

ย 

6.ย  Performs other duties as deemed necessary by the coach and administration.

Based on Extra-Curricular Pay Schedule

Qualifications:

ย 

1.ย  The candidate must be a good role model for players (punctual, prepared, sportsmanship, etc.)

ย 

2.ย  The preferred candidate would have played high school baseball and preferably some college baseball.

ย 

3.ย  The preferred candidate will have general knowledge of pitching, hitting, and fielding with an expertise in one of the three categories - preferably pitching.

ย 

4.ย  The preferred candidate will have the ability to instruct and discipline high school students.

ย 

5.ย  The preferred candidate will have previous high school coaching experience.
