Job description

Kott is accepting applications from 2nd/3rd year advanced degree students for the 2026-27 academic year through May 31, 2027. As a reminder, Kott Scholars receive a $10,000 scholarship, deepened exposure to the field of aging, opportunities for interdisciplinary peer-to-peer learning and support. Scholars are required to complete a 600-hour internship and Macro Project of their choosing.

The Kott Gerontology Scholars Program (KGSP) focuses on building cohorts of highly trained, enthused professionals to strengthen the field of aging. Kott Scholars have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with and/or on behalf of older adults within their Internship Sites (i.e., Host Agencies). Students are encouraged to secure their internships prior to or during the KGSP application process. KGSP will happily assist with internship placements as needed. Kott Scholars receive a $10,000 scholarship paid in two installments, as well as deepened exposure to the field through monthly meetings with guest speakers, 600-hour internships, and completion of a macro project. Scholars contribute to and benefit from being part of an interdisciplinary cohort of advanced degree students from programs such as Social Work, Law, Art Therapy, Non-Profit Management, Public Health, and others, providing peer-to-peer learning and support.
