This is a hybrid position requiring an on-site presence 3 to 4 days per week. Please note that the number of days on-site can increase based on business needs.
Job Summary:
The Cloud Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess requirements and deploy, manage, and optimize secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructure and solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide operational support for cloud infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Implement, manage, and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and application teams to understand business requirements, troubleshoot operational issues, and deliver timely support.
  • Monitor cloud environments to ensure platform availability, performance, and reliability, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to minimize service disruptions.
  • Support cloud cost optimization initiatives by identifying underutilized resources and recommending efficiency improvements.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows to streamline operational processes and improve efficiency.
  • Participate in change management, implementation reviews, and incident response activities to support operational excellence.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT assets, configurations, and procedures.
  • Generate reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and support tickets
  • Collaboration and Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with senior team members to identify areas for improvement in service delivery.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of cloud operations.

Education Required:
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Education Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in computer information systems or a related field.
Experience Required:
3-5 years
Experience Preferred:
  • Experience with server and desktop patching in a corporate environment preferred above a degree.
  • VMWare and Nutanix Experience managing virtual machines
  • IT Experience in a Colocated Data Center, managing hardware, and cleanly cabling equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to prioritize requests

Licenses/Certification Preferred:
Any Cloud Certifications
Technical Skills and Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Understanding of cloud networking concepts, including virtual networks, load balancing, DNS, and connectivity.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and cloud automation practices.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub, Jenkins, and Docker.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including Identity and Access Management (IAM) and compliance controls.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Physical Demands:
