Interns often gain exposure to real-world engineering challenges, which helps build practical skills and professional networks.

Can you make $500,000 as a civil engineer?

Civil engineers typically earn salaries that vary based on experience, location, and specialization. While some senior or highly specialized civil engineers in large firms or with extensive project management skills can reach or exceed $500,000 annually, this is uncommon for entry-level or mid-career positions. Achieving such a high income often requires advanced certifications, leadership roles, or working on large-scale projects in high-paying regions.
