Motion Recruitment is currently hiring for a Engineer II – Software Integration*


We’re currently hiring for an Engineer II – Software Integration position supporting the deployment and integration of security solutions that help protect critical infrastructure.


Location: On-site-Carrolton, TX

Travel: Up to 25%


About the Role:

We’re looking for a technically curious and hands-on engineer with strong troubleshooting, systems integration, and problem-solving skills. This role is a great fit for someone early in their career who has a STEM background and wants to develop expertise in software and hardware integration, system deployment, and security technologies.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support software and system integration, installation, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues across software, hardware, databases, and network environments.
  • Participate in requirements, design, testing, release, and configuration management activities.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, vendors, and customers to resolve issues and deliver solutions.
  • Learn and apply new technologies while working through complex problems with limited documentation.
  • Support onsite installation and commissioning activities.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another STEM-related discipline preferred.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred; strong new graduates with relevant internships or projects are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience or exposure to systems/software integration and the software development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft environments, networking concepts, and relational databases such as SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and work through ambiguous or unfamiliar problems.

Nice to have: Experience with C/C++/C#, Visual Studio, Git, Crystal Reports, Active Directory, Cisco/networking, or video surveillance systems.


This is a full-time, in-office position with up to 25% travel.
