How you’ll make an impact in this role

POSITION PURPOSE: The Associate Chief Medical Officer (ACMO) supports hospital-based clinical operations through patient-centric, Mission-aligned servant leadership. The ACMO reports to the Chief Medical Officer and hospital President and is accountable for driving excellence in clinical quality, safety, patient and clinician experience as well as ensuring fiscal stewardship. This pivotal leadership role requires a clinically-active physician at ASV Kokomo who is dedicated to advancing a high-performance culture rooted in the Ascension Mission.

Commitment and Professional Expectations

  • Must be a clinically-active, board-certified physician at ASV Kokomo hospital
  • Minimum 2-year commitment
  • Strategic alignment and effective communication with the CMO and hospital President

  • Appetite to develop subject matter expertise in Peer Review, Credentialing and Medical Staff Bylaws as well as relevant regulatory policies

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • One or more of the following required:
    • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Podiatrist credentialed from the Indiana Board of Podiatric Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Optometry (OD) or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) required.
