Program Overview


FifthColor's Graphic Design Internship Program gives students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience taking creative work from concept to final execution while contributing to meaningful work that supports FithColor's growth. As a full-service, independent, omnichannel agency with all our experts under one roof, FifthColor is committed to developing early career talent and building a strong pipeline for future full-time roles.


As a Graphic Design Intern, you will report to our Creative Director and partner with our creative team to help bring projects across the finish line - from early comps to final print and digital execution, for a diverse mix of brands. Working alongside experienced creatives, you will gain exposure to how production, precision and craft come together to build work that gets remembered. Through meaningful project work, mentorship and hands-on collaboration, you will develop practical skills while growing your portfolio and helping shape FifthColor's creative output.


Responsibilities

  • Partner with the creative team to produce the finalize creative work across print and digital channels.
  • Prepare, revise and organize design files for production.
  • Build and update layouts based on established creative concepts and brand guidelines.
  • Help ensure final work is polished, accurate and ready for release.
  • Support projects from initial comp through final execution.
  • Learn the ins and outs of agency production, including file preparation, quality control and print pre-press.
  • Balance multiple projects, priorities and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • Collaborate with team members across creative and other agency departments.
  • Contribute to real client work for a diverse range of brands.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Junior or Senior working toward a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field.
  • A foundational understanding of graphic design principles, typography, layout and color.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Strong attention to detail and appreciation for clean, accurate work.
  • The ability to stay organized while managing multiple assignments.
  • A willingness to ask questions, receive feedback and apply what you learn.
  • A dependable, self-motivated and collaborative approach.
  • A portfolio or expels of design work that show you skills thinking and creative potential.
