Salary Range: $33.43 – $54.89 hourly, based on experience and qualifications

 About the Role

We’re looking for a dedicated Cardiovascular Inteventional Technologist to join our team and help us continue delivering the level of care our patients and families deserve. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of our clinical team, ensuring excellent service, collaboration, and patient outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will assist procedural physicians with cardiac catheterizations, PCIs, peripheral vascular procedures, pacemaker insertions various interventional radiology procedures and special and/or emergency procedures, both on scheduled time and in an on-call capacity.  The Cardiovascular Technologist prepares equipment and patients for procedures as well as Monitors and records all hemodynamic and angiographic data obtained during procedures. You will provide office function support, environmental cleaning of suites, supply management, inventory, and assists in training of new staff members. 

What You’ll Do

  • Performs catheterizations and peripheral procedures according to protocol and safety guidelines.  Assists cardiologists/radiologist in Cardiac Catheterization, IAB insertions, pacemakers, and vascular diagnostic procedures, stent placement, PTA, various Interventional Radiology procedures and closure devices. 
  • Verifies all orders, insures patients are properly prepared and educated for all procedures.
  • Analyzes hemodynamic and angiographic data including valve area calculations, shunts and resistance ejection fractions.  Monitors and records all EKG, pressures, and other pertinent data.
  • Provides direct patient care within the patient care area and notifies a clinical staff member if patient condition changes.
  • Prepares equipment for all procedures with attention to physician preferences and the type of procedures being performed.  Prepares catheters, wires and balloons and differentiates needed supplies during the procedure to meet patient needs.
  • Digitally records studies providing needed information for physician.  Follows protocols for the use of producing single patient records in iSite
  • Conducts daily, monthly and annual inventory of supplies.
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in alignment with Saratoga Hospital values
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support health, healing, and service excellence
  • Perform clinical responsibilities with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Use hospital systems and tools to document care and support operations
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and support patient and staff satisfaction
  • Serve as a positive, professional representative of our hospital and community
  • Provides transportation of patients within the hospital and out to exit.
  • Assists with front office duties.
  • Monitors medical equipment repair and replacement needs, ensures warranties on all cath lab equipment are current.

What You Bring

Licensed Radiology Technologist, Licensed Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse required.  Cath Lab and/or Interventional Radiology experience strongly preferred. 

  • Must be able to assist with all diagnostic and interventional cardiac, peripheral, IR, and pacemaker/ICD insertions. 
  • PCI experience preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS certification is mandatory within 6 months of hire. Encouraged to obtain a certificate in Cardiac Interventional Radiography or RCIS within 2 years of start date.
