Camelback Physical Therapy in Leesburg, Virginia, is seeking a committed and passionate full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist (OPT) to join our outpatient practice. In this role, you will play a crucial part in guiding patients on their journey to recover motion, enhance their quality of life, and achieve optimal functional independence. Your responsibilities will encompass all stages of patient care from evaluation and diagnosis to treatment and rehabilitation, all tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each patient.

About the Organization

Camelback Physical Therapy is a privately-owned, state-of-the-art outpatient facility dedicated to delivering top-notch physical therapy services. Our new 5,000 square feet sports medicine facility is designed to support effective rehabilitation and promote athletic performance. Our team consists of experienced professionals who prioritize exceptional, personalized patient care and foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite in our vibrant outpatient office, where you will collaborate closely with two other physical therapists and a licensed physical therapy assistant (PTA). Our practice enjoys a steady influx of patients, primarily covered by private insurance, which allows us to focus on delivering high-quality care without the constraints often faced in larger healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough assessments to understand patients’ physical limitations, prior injuries, and personal goals.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving mobility, strength, and overall physical function.
  • Educate and motivate patients on their wellness journey, employing evidence-based practices to encourage adherence to therapy.
  • Manage a caseload of one patient per hour to ensure quality of attention and engagement during sessions.
  • Utilize manual therapy techniques and develop exercise protocols to enhance patients' recovery timelines.
  • Monitor treatment outcomes and modify care plans as necessary, based on patient progression and feedback.
  • Document patient interactions and care provided meticulously to maintain continuity of care and meet legal requirements.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient outcomes and exchange knowledge regarding treatment methodologies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position involves working primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, athletic injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our patient demographic ranges from young athletes to seniors, promoting a diverse caseload that keeps every day dynamic and engaging. You will have the opportunity to cultivate strong therapeutic relationships while playing an instrumental role in their recovery.

Qualifications
  • Possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
  • Hold an active Virginia state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
  • Maintain an exemplary professional record with no prior disciplinary actions associated with your license.
  • Demonstrate competence in manual therapy techniques and the creation of effective exercise programs.
  • Proficient in the use of electronic medical records (EMR), preferably with experience in WebPT.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of three years' experience working in an orthopedic outpatient physical therapy setting.
  • Proven ability to handle complex patient needs and develop tailored treatment approaches.
  • Experience in mentoring junior staff or interns is an advantage.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary in the range of USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and education. In addition to a favorable salary, we provide comprehensive benefits including health insurance, paid time off, continuing education stipends, and retirement plan options to support your professional growth and overall wellness.

Career Growth Opportunities

Camelback Physical Therapy is committed to the continuous professional development of our staff. We encourage participation in ongoing education and training programs, and we offer pathways for advancement within the organization, including leadership roles. Our collaborative culture fosters mentorship opportunities that can enhance your skills and career trajectory.

Why Join Our Team

By joining Camelback Physical Therapy, you will become a vital part of a team dedicated to patient-centered care in a supportive, innovative, and dynamic environment. We pride ourselves on valuing the contributions of every team member, and we are excited to welcome a new OPT who embodies our commitment to excellence in physical therapy. Your role will significantly impact not only individual patient outcomes but also the overall reputation and success of our practice.
