Job description

Job Title: Day Group Sales Intern

Department: Sales

Reports to: Day Group Manager

The Day Group Sales Intern supports the overall Day Group Sales efforts as they interface with all aspects of Camelback Resort. The Day Group activities offered at Camelback Sales; (i.e., Skiing, Snow Tubing, Camelbeach, CMA, Aquatopia Etc.), In addition, the Day Group Sales Intern maintains and supports all aspects of fulfilling the reserved group process from account set up through day of visit support to pre-event invoicing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating with the group for arrival time to greet them and delivery tickets to the day groups.
  • Prepare and coordinate the distribution of meal vouchers, tickets, etc. as they pertain to group purchases.
  • Help in maintaining communication between the day group sales office and other departments within the resort.
  • Maintain Sales SOP’s in terms of database and internal process management.
  • Assist the Day Group Sales Manager and team with daily administrative tasks, including but not limited to data entry, filing, and reporting.
  • Maintain and update group sales records, contracts, and event details in the CRM system.
  • Respond to email and phone inquiries from clients and internal departments in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare sales kits, proposals, contracts, and event summaries.
  • Coordinate and confirm group bookings, including itinerary details, payment processing, and logistical needs.
  • Collaborate with resort departments (such as Operations, Food & Beverage, and Guest Services) to ensure successful execution of group events.
  • Maintain calendars and schedule appointments, meetings, and site tours for the sales team.
  • Track and reconcile billing for group sales accounts, including deposits and final payments.
  • Provide excellent guest service to group clients, both pre-arrival and during their onsite experience.
  • Greet guests with a friendly, professional attitude
  • Assist guests with online reservations, ticket pickup, and RFID pass activation
  • Answer questions about pricing, hours, resort activities, rentals, and directions
  • Resolve ticketing issues, refunds, exchanges, and reservation concerns
  • Maintain accurate cash drawer and daily transaction reconciliation
  • Help manage lines and guest flow during busy periods
  • Coordinate with rentals, ski school, and guest services teams
  • Follow safety, fraud-prevention, and customer service procedures
  • Perform other administrative or support duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years old or older.
  • Comfortable handling cash and POS systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Prior hospitality, retail, or ticketing experience preferred
  • Leadership, problem solving, organization and communication skills required.
  • Able to work well with others required.
  • Strong customer service skills (verbal and written) preferred.
  • Must have open availability including weekends
