Griffin Technology Academies (GTA Schools) is a network of 4 charter schools in Vallejo, California, that focuses on providing students with a high-quality education in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields. The first GTA charter, Mare Island Technology Academy Middle and High Schools, was founded in 2001, later adding Griffin Academy Middle and High Schools in 2018. GTA Schools serve students in grades 6-12.
Griffin Technology Academies offer a variety of programs and services designed to support students in achieving academic success. These include: small class sizes, personalized instruction, extracurricular activities, and enrichment opportunities like burgeoning athletic programs, before and after school care programs, early college (dual enrollment, articulation, concurrent enrollment), AVID, and CTE courses. The schools also provide students with access to technology resources, including laptops and tablets. Students in high school also have opportunities for community service, internships, and career exploration experiences coordinated through GTA's Work-Based Learning (WBL) program.

Job Summary
Under the guidance of the Site Director, the Spanish Teacher plays a pivotal role in shaping an engaging and inclusive educational experience for all students. The teacher is tasked with designing and delivering standards-aligned instruction that empowers students to meet and exceed State standards while reaching their full potential. This includes creating and maintaining a safe, supportive, and academically rigorous learning environment. Success in this role relies on active collaboration with colleagues to develop cohesive lesson and unit plans that drive student achievement and mastery of key content standards.
