Job Description
Senior Lead Software Engineer, Analytics Technology, responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and expanding application and modules for the
Analytics Technology Business within LSEG Data and Analytics Division. The focus of the job is integrating modern technologies, cloud infrastructure
(Azure, AWS), open-source solutions with the existing products and solutions with the goal of realizing business objectives, support growth with improve
performance and efficiency.
Role Responsibilities:
Work as part of a medium size team of developers to develop innovative solutions to customer technology needs
Developing and maintaining compute platform for financial models to support both external and internal clients
Maintaining, designing, and setting up infrastructure to support various applications
Maintaining and improving the existing compute infrastructure - performance, quality and efficiency
Design, present and collaborate with other teams on designing technical solutions to realize complex business and technical objectives
Working experience with large scale data sources: relational or NoSQL
Migrating applications to cloud seamlessly so that there is no service disruption
Estimate timeline and resources for complex projects and collaborate with other teams to bring projects to the finish line
Establish credibility & build deep relationships with senior technical staff to generate common understanding and relate their challenges to
development strategy
Working on products used by leading financial institutions world-wide
Strategic project involvement which will make a significant impact to the business bottom line
Minimum Requirements:
MUST: 3+ years' experience developing C/C++ enterprise solutions (services, databases, ...)
4+ years' work experience
2+ years' work experience working on large scale project
3+ years' experience working with Linux/Unix environments
Working experience with Python or other high-level languages required
Good Communication, organization, and coordination skills
Proven experience working with global team - multi-site, multi time zone
Experience in a software development lifecycle and delivery role
Excellent programming skills in C/C++: Data Structures, networking, databases, services, ...
Experience building and deploying C/C++ services to cloud: K9S, Lambdas, ...
Strong analytical background and quantitative skills
Experience with AWS OR Azure cloud technologies & tools a plus
Key Relationships:
Report to senior manager (team lead) in New York

Desired Skills:

Compensation/Benefits Information:
LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $151,000 - $251,600.
Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/"bonus plan"). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
