Are you a Business Analytics, Finance, Supply Chain, or Business Administration major?
Consider our Asset Management & Supply Chain Internship at Paper Transport! This internship provides hands-on experience in the day-to-day administrative and analytical work that supports important business and operational decisions.
You will work closely with the Asset Manager, Maintenance team, Operations, Accounting, and other internal partners to understand how data, financial information, equipment utilization, and operational needs come together to support a successful transportation company.
This is more than an internship where you complete administrative tasks. You will have the opportunity to learn how businesses manage assets, analyze information, identify opportunities for improvement, and make decisions that directly impact operations.
What You'll Do
  • Manage toll bills received by mail and ensure they are accurately routed to the appropriate Profit & Loss.
  • Audit incoming data sources used for reporting to support asset management and operational decisions.
  • Maintain accurate asset and equipment information across multiple software systems.
  • Manage trailers through the various stages of their utilization within the company.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers regarding trailer utilization and equipment needs.
  • Help monitor trailer utilization and equipment pools to support operational needs.
  • Cross-train across multiple fleets to gain exposure to different regions, customers, and equipment needs.
  • Assist with reporting, data collection, and administrative processes that support the Maintenance and Operations teams.
  • Identify discrepancies or opportunities within data and work with team members to resolve issues.
  • Support special projects and other business initiatives as assigned.
