The group also specializes in acoustic data acquisition and analysis and works on an array of other acoustic and undersea applications including underwater acoustics, vibrational systems, and simulation and modeling. Position SummaryOur Ocean Systems Group is seeking an expert in undersea acoustics and signal processing in the undersea warfare domain. This engineer will lead and contribute to a multi-disciplinary team working on both algorithms and product developments. ResponsibilitiesSelf-starter with the ability to recognize and creatively solve complex problemsServe both as an individual contributor and lead a project teamTake ownership of project success and maintain customer relationshipsIdentify and manage project schedules and risksSupport business development through proposal writing and the pursuit of strategic partnershipsPlan and execute tests in an independent & inventive mannerDocument project progress Desired QualificationsExperience with some of the following:Anti-submarine Warfare (ASW) applications of acoustic signal processingDeveloping signal processing techniques on real-world underwater acoustic arraysTaking an algorithm through the Navy's APB process for vettingAcoustic target tracking and multi-sensor fusion techniquesAcoustic blind-source separation (BSS) techniquesPhased-array processing and array design and performance analysisAcoustic testing, data acquisition, and data analysisAcoustic undersea warfare tactics, techniques, and proceduresThe ideal candidate will have broad interest in these areas and the desire to lead a team to develop and field a product in a chosen area. Excellent presentation and writing skills are a plus to accomplish this goal. Education/ExperienceMS degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or closely related field.
