Position Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical / Process Engineer with direct experience in the Design and Application Engineering of Process Vacuum systems. This position requires strong Expertise with Process Vacuum Equipment and Systems utilizing Ejectors, Eductors, Liquid Ring Vacuum pumps and systems thereof.
Key Responsibilities – Process & Application Engineering
· The Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Application, Design and Specification of Ejectors, Eductors, Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps and Systems thereof.
· Technical and Engineering Review of End User RFQ’s. Select and size appropriate vacuum and auxiliary equipment appropriate to meet the end user requirements including performance guarantees
· Support troubleshooting, optimization, and debottlenecking of existing systems
· Maintain, develop and continuously improve existing proprietary Vacuum system application and sizing methods.
Technical Customer Engagement
· Support proposal development including technical descriptions, performance guarantees, and scope definition
· Serve as the technical interface between customers, sales, and internal mechanical engineering teams
· Participate in customer meetings, site visits, and technical presentations as required
· Support system startup, commissioning, and performance validation as required
Product & Market Development
· Assist with development of standardized and modular vacuum systems and supporting literature.
· Provide feedback on customer needs, application gaps, and product improvement opportunities
· Monitor industry trends in process vacuum, separation technologies, and energy optimization
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
· 3+ years of DIRECT EXPERIEINCE with design, sizing and application of Vacuum Ejectors, Eductors, Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps, and Hybrid Systems.
· Strong understanding of Condensers applicable to process vacuum systems including surface and barometric condensers.
· Ability to read and develop PFDs and P&IDs
· Comfortable working directly with customers in technical or applications roles
· Willingness to travel as required
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, biotech, food processing, specialty chemical, or thermal power industries
· Experience supporting custom-engineered capital equipment sales
• Master’s degree (MS) – Engineering
