BIOMEDICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Overview
A rapidly expanding healthcare equipment and service provider is seeking a Biomedical Sales Representative to support repair, service, and maintenance sales across Indiana and Michigan. This role is a key driver of growth, responsible for generating new business, expanding revenue within existing accounts, and delivering a consultative, solution-oriented customer experience. The position reports directly to senior sales leadership and collaborates broadly across internal teams.

Position Summary
The Biomedical Sales Representative is responsible for developing and managing a territory sales plan, identifying new business opportunities, and positioning a portfolio of biomedical engineering solutions to hospitals, surgery centers, and medical practices. Success in this role requires strong sales acumen, the ability to understand technical service offerings, and a proactive, relationship-driven approach.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal sales, customer service, and field service teams to generate leads and promote biomedical engineering service offerings

  • Meet and exceed assigned revenue and margin objectives while delivering exceptional customer service

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities; convert competitive accounts through consultative selling

  • Recommend value-added service solutions to help customers improve operational efficiency

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate customer needs and propose customized repair solutions

  • Manage and progress sales pipeline according to company standards, advancing accounts through defined stages

  • Conduct daily outreachโ€”including cold calls and face-to-face visitsโ€”to hospitals, surgery centers, and physician practices

  • Re-engage existing customers with additional service offerings through warm calls and targeted follow-up

  • Focus on strategic territory accounts, especially those without current sales coverage

  • Maintain accurate CRM documentation, including activity logs, service records, and opportunity tracking

  • Leverage data and analytics to uncover trends and identify new opportunities

  • Attend trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events as needed

  • Follow established procedures to resolve identifiable technical issues

  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments to support operational efficiency and compliance

Position Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required, preferably in Business, Marketing, or a related field

  • Minimum of two years of professional experience; strong preference for documented inside/outside sales success in competitive markets with tangible products

  • Experience in B2B sales or medical sales is preferred

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts and manage a consultative sales process from prospecting to close

  • History of delivering strong customer experiences aligned with organizational values

  • Remote role; candidate should reside in or near the assigned territory (e.g., Detroit, Indianapolis, Northern Indiana, or Northwest Ohio)
