Interns may work in areas such as dispatch operations, administrative support, inventory, logistics coordination, and other projects based on organizational needs and the interns' skill.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical workplace experience, build transferable skills, and contribute to a mission-driven organization dedicated to patient care and emergency response.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on placement, interns may:
  • Assist with dispatch operations by supporting communications, call tracking, and scheduling.
  • Provide administrative/billing support including data entry, document preparation, scanning, and filing.
  • Help with inventory management through stock checks, supply organization, and equipment tracking.
  • Support logistics and operations teams during planning and deployment readiness activities.
  • Participate in special projects to improve workflow, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Contribute to process documentation, policy updates, or reporting tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with staff across departments to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in (or recently completed) a high school, college, or technical program.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, and data entry).
  • Interest in healthcare, logistics, emergency response, or business operations is a plus, but you do not have to have a related major to intern.

What We Offer
  • Exposure to multiple areas of operations in a dynamic healthcare and disaster response setting.
  • Mentorship from experienced professionals.
  • Opportunities to develop workplace skills and explore potential career paths.
  • Flexible scheduling where possible, based on academic commitments.

Additional Information
  • This internship may be paid, unpaid or offered for school credit, depending on program requirements.
  • Hours and assignments may vary depending on department needs.
  • Interns are expected to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, understand HIPPA regulations, and comply with all MedEx policies.
