What You'll Do:
  • Identify requirements, develop concepts, create schematics/ 3D CAD for electrical systems to support vehicle programs through all phases of development
  • Develop expertise in electrical systems and components under direct responsibility which can include harnesses, modules, electrical components and software
  • Interface with cross-functional teams to support electrical and software testing, validation and systems integration
  • Use lab equipment to root cause issues on systems/ vehicles and identify solutions
  • CAD design activities to support R&D efforts in a product development environment
  • Design and create prototype circuit boards and harnesses
  • Develop, document, and implement test procedures for electrical components and wiring, including releasing process
  • Support and develop work instructions for manufacturing operations
  • Support sourcing of new components with technical input
  • Occasional travel required to support testing, supplier visits or issue resolution

Who We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field required
  • 3-5 years of related experience in automotive electrical engineering, or related field
  • Experience in the automotive industry required
  • Experience in engineering development process and design and release of components and systems required
  • Bonus points for catia experience, or similar CAD software
  • Bonus points for coding experience
  • Bonus points for experience with professional engine control and data acquisition systems, hardware, and software tools such as MoTec, Emtron and AEM
  • Bonus points for experience with air-cooled Porsche engines
  • Strong diagnostics skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a small group of focused and talented engineers
  • Good verbal and written communication skills (clear and concise technical writing)
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Self-motivated and able to perform tasks and projects with little supervision
  • Experience with data analysis and interpretation
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and actively listen to others
  • Team oriented, with a strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment to meet multiple deadlines
  • Excellent time management with an ability to balance multiple projects and timelines
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and collaborative skills with the ability to prioritize efficiently and effectively within and across departments

Location & Schedule:
This is a salaried, exempt position onsite in Torrance, CA. The core hours are Monday - Friday 7:30am-4pm.

The starting salary range for this position is between $104,344 - 130,429 per year plus bonus. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
