Job description

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
The Software Developer plays an important role in designing, developing, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise software applications that enable business operations across multiple manufacturing facilities and business locations.
Reporting to the Software Development Manager, you'll partner with Business Analysts, business stakeholders, IT team members, and third-party vendors to deliver scalable software solutions that improve operational efficiency, productivity, and data accuracy.
You'll participate throughout the software development lifecycle-from requirements analysis and solution design to implementation, deployment, and ongoing support-helping deliver technology solutions that support the Company's continued growth.
A highlight of your day-to-day will include:
  • Developing and maintaining integrations between ERP systems, business applications, databases, APIs, and third-party software platforms, including automation scripts that push and pull data between systems.
  • Designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise software applications, including PHP-based business applications.
  • Collaborating with Business Analysts and business stakeholders to understand operational requirements and translate business needs into effective software solutions.
  • Developing application enhancements that support manufacturing, operations, inventory, logistics, finance, sales, and other business functions.
  • Supporting mobile application development, including Flutter/FlutterFlow solutions, while learning new technologies as needed.
  • Using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate software development while reviewing, validating, and troubleshooting generated code to ensure accuracy, quality, and maintainability.
  • Contributing to software architecture, solution design, code reviews, technical documentation, software deployments, and release management activities.
  • Troubleshooting application issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing timely corrective actions while supporting production applications and internal customers.
  • Following established software development lifecycle (SDLC), coding standards, cybersecurity, quality assurance, and change management practices while recommending technology and process improvements that improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You're a collaborative software developer who enjoys solving complex business problems and delivering practical technology solutions. You communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, can give and receive direct feedback, and are comfortable respectfully challenging ideas when needed while knowing when to move forward as a team.
We're looking for someone who isn't simply seeking their next software development opportunity-they're looking for an opportunity to build modern enterprise applications, solve meaningful business challenges, and help shape the technology that supports our growing organization. You'll be trusted to manage your work with a high level of autonomy, stay accountable to deadlines, and focus on building solutions that make work easier for our employees. In our culture - everyone matters.
Required qualifications include:
  • Three or more years of professional software development experience.
  • Professional experience developing PHP applications.
  • Experience developing and working with APIs and software integrations.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools as part of the software development process, with the technical ability to review, validate, and troubleshoot AI-generated code.
  • Demonstrated professional software development experience independent of AI-assisted coding tools.

Preferred qualifications include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience supporting enterprise business applications.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, or ERP environments.
  • Experience with several of the following technologies: Symfony, Python, Linux, Apache, MySQL (LAMP), Docker, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Flutter/FlutterFlow, REST APIs, Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Microsoft Azure, AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Codex), database design, object-oriented programming, and software integrations.
  • Salesforce development experience, including Apex, is a plus.
