Be our next Mechanical Designer/Engineer
Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will be a part of the Mechanical team, for Hospitality, Entertainment and Healthcare HVAC Design projects in the Coral Gables, Florida office.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
  • Perform hands-on CAD using AutoCAD MEP and/or Revit platforms
  • Perform heating and cooling load calculations with industry software (Trace, Energy Pro, DOE)
  • Select and schedule equipment with oversight by senior staff
  • Layout air and water side systems on working drawings
  • Understand fan and pump curves to properly select equipment for application
  • Communicate with equipment vendors to determine requirements for applying products
  • Perform field verification and take-offs of existing systems for renovation projects
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (mep, fp, arch, struct, etc) for HVAC details
  • Maintain the Engineering Calculation Book for projects
  • Understand work planning and manage design process to the available hours in work plan
  • Understand both constant and variable flow systems, and properly apply equipment

What your experience looks like
  • 2+ years in designing HVAC systems for Hospitality, Entertainment and Healthcare projects or recent graduate with internship experience in the HVAC field for construction projects, including HVAC, piping, and plumbing.
  • A Engineering Bachelor's degree specializing in HVAC/Mechanical Engineering
  • Auto CAD, REVIT MEP familiar
  • Good Written and verbal communication
  • EIT Certification is desired.
