SUMMARY

The DT Application Developer Intern (Front-End Focus) will enhance business capability by helping to build next-generation, mobile-first enterprise applications. Working alongside senior developers, project managers, and business stakeholders, you will gain hands-on experience using modern web technologies (such as Angular, TypeScript, and Ionic) to create high-performance user interfaces. This role is a blend of building new features, optimizing UI performance, and troubleshooting production issues to ensure our applications operate at optimal levels.

YOUR IMPACT

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned:

  • UI/UX Development: Assist in translating UI/UX mockups and functional specifications into responsive, reusable front-end components.
  • Debugging & Optimization: Assist in designing, running, and monitoring software performance tests on new and existing interfaces, specifically isolating areas for UI rendering improvement and general debugging.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot client-side technical issues, including browser/device compatibility and state management.
  • Support & Issue Tracking: Provide technical support and advise the help desk on issue statuses. Maintain incidents within ServiceNow and GitHub, communicating work status and escalating issues in a timely fashion.
  • Code Quality: Propose software designs based on modern front-end design principles. Participate in code reviews to learn enterprise coding standards.
  • Delivery: Complete documentation, perform component testing, and assist with the implementation of features through our CI/CD pipelines (GitHub).
  • Methodology: Learn, understand, and practice Oshkosh's agile project methodology and enterprise software delivery lifecycle.
