Summary Description:

Syntiant Corp., a leader in the high-growth AI software and semiconductor solutions space, is looking for a Product Compliance Intern to take on a critical role to enhance our Quality team.

As a Product Compliance Intern, you will support the Product Compliance and Quality organizations in ensuring Syntiant products meet global regulatory, environmental, and customer compliance requirements. You will work closely with engineering, operations, suppliers, and customers to evaluate materials, assess regulatory impacts, maintain compliance documentation, and support product stewardship initiatives. This role provides hands-on exposure to international environmental regulations, semiconductor supply chains, sustainability programs, and product lifecycle compliance management.

Requirements

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in evaluating materials, components, and finished products against global environmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the collection, review, and analysis of supplier material declarations and compliance documentation.
  • Research and interpret international regulations affecting semiconductor and electronic products, including environmental, chemical, packaging, and product stewardship requirements.
  • Assist in preparing compliance disclosures, customer declarations, and regulatory reports.
  • Conduct compliance gap assessments and support corrective action plans where necessary.
  • Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, operations, and quality teams to ensure compliance requirements are integrated into product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Support maintenance and continuous improvement of compliance databases, documentation systems, and records management processes.
  • Monitor emerging regulatory trends and assess potential impacts on products, materials, and business operations.
  • Participate in sustainability, ESG, and product stewardship initiatives as assigned.
  • Assist in developing internal guidance documents, training materials, and compliance communication tools.
  • Interns may gain experience with:
    • RoHS Compliance, REACH Compliance, PFAS Regulations, TSCA Requirements, California Proposition 65, Conflict Minerals Reporting, Packaging and Recycling Regulations, Supplier Material Declarations, Product Environmental Compliance, Sustainability and ESG Programs, Semiconductor Supply Chain Compliance.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience Required:

  • Undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Interest in environmental regulations, sustainability, regulatory affairs, or product stewardship is a plus.
  • Familiarity with electronic products, semiconductor technologies, or manufacturing environments is a plus.
  • Experience using data analysis, reporting, or AI-assisted productivity tools is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret technical requirements and communicate findings effectively across diverse teams is a plus.
