Job description

AWS Global Partner Marketing is seeking a proactive, highly organized Event Marketing Manager to help drive our Global Partner Summits program - a flagship portfolio of events that showcases AWS Partners and drives engagement across our global partner community. Working closely with the global program strategy lead, you will independently lead the delivery of selected partner summits end-to-end and build the scalable mechanisms that enable local geographies to execute events flawlessly and consistently worldwide.
This is both an owner role and a force multiplier. On the events you lead, you will act as the single-threaded owner, responsible for programming, speaker management, successful delivery of content, staffing, branding, event goals, and coordination with all supporting teams including central event logistics, sponsorship, demand gen, digital, and content strategy. Across the wider program, you will design the playbooks, templates, guides, and rhythm-of-business mechanisms that let regional teams run their own summits to a consistently high bar, maintaining global standards while enabling local relevance.
The successful candidate has a strong bias for action, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across geographies and time zones. You are equally comfortable owning a spreadsheet, coordinating agencies, standing up a scalable process, and making real-time decisions on-site. You make proactive recommendations grounded in data, event insights, and pipeline outcomes.
Key job responsibilities
• Act as single-threaded owner for selected partner summits, leading independently end-to-end, aligned to the program lead's global strategy
• Manage day-to-day activities across concurrent events: timelines, documentation, status reporting, and stakeholder coordination
• Own event content workstreams, including breakout and roundtable programs, working backwards from the partner experience
• Design reusable mechanisms including playbooks, templates, and processes that enable local geographies to run summits without global team onsite support
• Implement standardized processes aligned with the Event Center of Excellence, balancing local relevance with global standards
• Manage agency and vendor relationships end-to-end: sourcing, contracts, creative, and day-of logistics
• Own on-site responsibilities during live events, managing teams and resolving issues in real time
• Support multi-format partner campaigns (roundtables, webinars, content kits) beyond in-person events
• Act as primary liaison across stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams, managing communications and updates
• Support senior stakeholders with event logistics such as executive partner meetings, and incorporate feedback
• Track and report on event and campaign performance for leadership including registrations, attendance, CSAT, and business impact
• Lead post-event analysis and drive process improvements that scale and localize the program
A day in the life
You will partner with the Global Partner Summits program lead, who owns global strategy, and with cross-functional teams across field marketing, content, creative, and external agencies. On the summits you own, your day-to-day spans managing timelines and trackers, developing content, coordinating agencies, and preparing for on-site execution; when events are live, you make real-time decisions and resolve issues to ensure flawless delivery. Between events, you build the mechanisms - playbooks, guides, templates, and processes - that empower regional teams to run their own summits, and you capture post-event insights and pipeline results to scale what works.
About the team
AWS Partner Marketing builds the programs and experiences that connect AWS Partners with customers to accelerate mutual growth. The Global Partner Summits program is a cornerstone of that effort, delivering high-impact events around the world. This role helps lead that program, owning summits directly and building the mechanisms that enable local geographies to execute at a consistently high bar.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
- Experience with event AV and live event planning
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
- Experience with event management tools and technologies
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with technology industry events (500 + attendees)
- Understanding of specific event disciplines (content, operations, platforms)
- Experience with virtual and hybrid event formats
- International event experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders across levels and geographies
